Old School

I ran across a fellow writer and musician yesterday who goes by the name of B.H. After we signed each others non-disclosure agreement he pulled out a notebook and pen while I went to the car and brought back my notes and a pencil. We had a good talk about different things, and I noted that his Harley looked old school. "Well, it is an '02," he said. How did '02 get to be old is the thought that came to mind. We talked for a bit longer and went our ways.                  On the way home it occurred to me that it would be real easy for the two of us to sit on th porch, sip some lemonade or ice tea and trade stores. It also passed across my mind that he reminded me of Chris Rea.  B.H., this one's for you.

A Dead Rabbit, The Public Defender's Office and DQ

Jimbob and I were taking a walk when we spotted this dead rabbit and decided to investigate.

Just about then a patrol car sped by us on a mission so we kept on walking along.

And then, another black and white came along.
We didn't want to wind up like Rattlesnake and Sam.

Jimbob and I looking for justice
Here I am with Christina and a Deputy

Jimbob's not real good at catching rabbits, but he does have some connections, so we went to visit Christina at the Justice Center for help in case anyone thought we had killed someone's pet rabbit. She introduced us to a first-rate defense attorney by the name of Diana who told me everything would be ok.

Diana knows her stuff and she made me feel a whole lot better!

Our new book "The Adventures of Jimbob and the City Beagles" is now on for only $2.99

"We Woke Up To Death" -WARNING- Graphic Photo!

“We woke up to death,” tells Janet Denton about that recent Sunday morning that her and her husband Eddie woke up to. The couple probably started their morning routine as
usual which would include taking a peek at their Shetland ponies pastured next to their Monroe County pond. In the early golden hour of the sunrise that photographers favor so much, happiness quickly turned into horror as they realized instead of seeing their ponies peacefully chomping on some grass with their tails swishing, they greeted by blood spray boring into their eyeballs like red hot pokers.
Edited due to very graphic nature

Overnight there were three frisky ponies and one dog brutally killed in a  seemingly wanton manner. One other dog was injured from unknown causes. The ponies that were bought to provide pleasure for their grandchildren has been ripped from their future and were now sorrow ponies along with a death dog.
The facts are that we have two grieving pet owners, a leftover mutilated dog, and three dead ponies that are similar to my little ponies. “We don’t know what caused the deaths,” said Janet.

Quire possibly any other information about the cause at this point would be gossip, hearsay, conjecture, or just plain guesswork.

The very human side of this tragedy does leave some other real time chapter and verse. Two grieving pet owners had burials on their hands, and what to do now with the leftover bedding, the halters, the collar, and that extra dog dish?

Foraging at Home Depot

I decided to stop in at Home Depot see if I could get some kindling for our first campfire when the Beagles and I head into the great outdoors.
Home Depot is very dog friendly
This is Patty, one of the nicest people working there. She is holding our free kindling from the scrap bin.
If you'll remember, last year Home Depot supplied us with our Solar Viewing Station. The rabbit ears and satellite dish we added are optional.

Park City

After my stay in Rocky Hill I dropped in for a great lunch and some great hospitality with my old friends Karin, Gary and the rest of the crew.

Finally had a chance to revisit Rocky Hill and Park City. Spent some time with old friends and made a couple of new ones.

I love coming to this place.

Laura Lucas Postmaster I would call her Postmistress, but I don't want to start any ugly rumors.

It has been some time since I picked up my mail.
